MOC’s Family Resource Center (FRC) provides support services and advocacy for families to:

foster parental involvement

promote parenting and child development education

encourage social connections
-
provide concrete supports in times of need
Activities of the FRC include:

Evidence Based Parent Education Courses

CANS Assessments/Family Support Plans Development for youth referred by juvenile Court, Schools, other Community Service organization

Parent Support Groups/Individual Support

Information and Referral

Schedule and host Family Visits (for families whose children are in DCF custody)

FITCHBURG COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS COALITION
Fitchburg Community Connections Coalition’s vision is to build a comprehensive continuum of family support that strengthens families, builds communities, and prevents child abuse and neglect. FCCC works collaboratively with residents, city and state government officials, law enforcement, service providers and non-profit organizations to support child abuse prevention initiatives through informal educational programs, support of neighborhood associations and organizations working toward this goal.
